Introduction
This module is a more generalized version of the previous PSof.SnowFall module that now also supports images floating upwards (e.g. bubbles, balloons etc.). It also comes with a larger selection of standard images including some just right for Valentines Day and Easter (but a user can upload their own images if they wish).
The PSof.SnowFall extends the standard Text/HTML module to show images (e.g. snow, leaves, Cupid, bubbles etc.) floating either up or down over the whole web page - just the thing for your site homepage to wish your visitors "Happy Thanksgiving", "Seasons Greetings", "Happy Christmas" etc.
How to Use
Install the module just like any other DNN module.
Add the PSof.SnowFall module to the page you want. Adjust the Module title to be what you want. You should then see something like:-
Of course, the above is a snapshot - the snow will actually be falling gently down the page (see the live demo).
Edit
To adjust the module settings click Edit (above) and the PSof.SnowFall Edit window will look something like (with the help expanded):-
The last four items control the extension over the standard Text/HTML module. The installation comes with the following standard gifs:-
- Balloon1
- Bubble1
- Cupid1
- EasterChick1
- FlyingBird1
- Heart1
- Leaf1
- Snow1
- Snow2
but other gifs can be (manually) uploaded into the images sub-directory if you have specific requirements (e.g. wedding confetti, flowers, pumpkins, coins etc. - you get the idea!) and they will then also be automatically available in the image dropdown menu.
Customization
DotNetNuke Localization can be used to alter all strings presented to the end-user.
